Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is situated perfectly in Old Sacramento, close to the railroad museum and offers a great location for exploring downtown and the capital. The rooms were spacious but lacked amenities and cleanliness, especially noticeable dust in certain areas. The service was friendly and welcoming, making for a pleasant stay. The dining experience varied from cold and inaccurate orders to an impressive complimentary breakfast with table service. The overall value for money was decent, but improvements in room cleanliness and amenities could enhance the stay.
Staying at the boat hotel was a unique experience. The rooms were small but sufficient, and despite being a bit noisy, they were charmingly cozy. The service was top-notch, with a very pleasant and attentive staff. The location right in the heart of old Sacramento was a major highlight, offering a vintage boat atmosphere by the Sacramento River. The dining experience was excellent, especially at the pilot house restaurant, although the french fries seemed to steal the show.
My experience at the hotel was quite interesting. The rooms were very small and not too comfortable, located on the 4th deck which required carrying our luggage up a set of stairs, but the quaint feel made up for it. The service was top-notch with professional and courteous staff, even when dealing with challenging situations. The location was perfect right in the heart of Old Sacramento, although basic necessities were missing. The dining experience was efficient but a bit noisy, and not the best value for the cost. Overall, the hotel had its ups and downs.
The hotel was cool, small, but just enough for the wife and I. The rooms are very nice-looking and comfortable. The service was really courteous during our stay, especially those working in the dining room, though a little short-handed at times. The location is perfect, with walking distance to everything downtown and overlooking the Sacramento river. The dining experience was by far the best complimentary hotel breakfast I've had, very substantial and with table service.
I stayed on the 4th deck, which meant carrying our luggage up one set of stairs, but it wasn't too bad. The room was small but really nice and clean, authentic to the era. However, I must say it was absolutely filthy, which unfortunately ruined our stay.
